A question I get asked a lot is “Where should I take my date?” Here are some of my top patio picks in the city that offer great food, drinks and noteworthy experiences.

The Parlour

There are no awkward moments of silence at this new good-vibes-only pizza and brunch spot on King St. W. Happy hour, 4pm-7pm brings buck-an-ounce wine and $5 highballs. Try their signature Goldmember pizza, topped with caramelized onions, mushrooms, Yukon Gold potatoes, gruyere, mozzarella and truffle oil. Grab a seat on the patio in the alley or in the courtyard under a retractable roof. Your date will be entertained for sure and impressed that you picked such a cool spot. King Wests much anticipated rooftop patio is here! If it rains, this retractable rooftop patio has got you and your date covered. Indulge in fruity cocktails and try the best Latin American food in the city by Chef Steve Gonzalez. Must try dishes are the Chori Papa, OG Duck Chaufa & Ceviche Verde. Fav Cocktail: The Baro Sour of course!

The Gaarden

This rooftop garden transforms Cube’s rooftop into a sea of green plants that will make you feel like your in a tropical paradise. They serve up Sangria & Marguerita’s by the pitcher! Fav Cocktail: Aperol Apricot Spritzer



Leslieville’s newest go to spot, this east side Mexican eatery was formerly Joy Bistro, and is filled with color and flavor. A great patio that is heated when the weather gets cooler and is filled with sunshine on an afternoon. Order the tortilla chips and guac to start and don’t forget to try the Mexican street corn and taco’s! Fav Cocktail: Passion Fruit Margarita



Take in breath taking views of the Toronto skyline at this bustling Summerhill hot spot on a warm sunny evening. Hungry? Order up to share one of their pizza biancas and pastas. The Spaghetti al Limone is the best! This patio is a first come first serve, so get there early! Great vibe and fab food that comes as is, no food alterations. Fav cocktail: Negroni

Kasa Moto


Yorkville’s swanky Japanese spot serves up amazing sushi alongside table seating and a great bar that attracts the after work crowd. As the sun goes down, date night heats up with live DJ and flowing specialty cocktails. Fav cocktail: Thai Collins with lemon grass and ginger.

Bar Reyna


Yorkville’s most intimate patio and snack bar. Indulge in sharing classic Mediterranean dishes and lavish cocktails with your date on this cozy back patio. Are you a jazz lover? Impress your date by taking in some live jazz on a Thursday night. The back patio fills up with the voice of Jessica Rose at 8pm who sings a perfect blend of blues hued jazz.
